1. QUESTION:      First, if our club holds a UDC trial - can we open it to all breeds?

ANSWER:  YES.

2.  QUESTION:    Second, will their score books from other organizations be recognized with the UDC, or do all competitors have to have a UDC trial book?

ANSWER:   We will recognize their scorebooks, but they must be a current member of the organization whose scorebook they present.  If they present a USA scorebook, they must also present a current membership card for USA.

3. QUESTION:     Third, will other Sch organizations recognize the titles given by the UDC? As an example, we compete mostly under the German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada right now, so would this club recognize the titles given by UDC and will UDC recognize titles given by the GSSCC? Obviously, if the titles are not transferable, we would really limit the people that would enter such trials.

ANSWER:   It depends on the judge.  USA does not recognize some judges recognized by other breed clubs.  You should be aware of whether or not your judge will be recognized by the other breed clubs, and notify your exhibitors accordingly.

4.   QUESTION:    Helpers and judges - are we limited to a certain list set out by theUDC?

ANSWER:  No for helpers. YES for judges.  Look at the UDC website for the organizations whose judges we recognize.

5.    QUESTION:  Do the competitors entering the trial need to be UDC members? In the GSSCC you must be a member to compete.

ANSWER:   No.  But they must be a card-carrying member of the organization whose scorebook they present to the trial secretary, and must provide that card along with the scorebook.
